Galaxies, nebulae, double stars, and star clusters were seen on the celestial vault from Vărșag during the Siblings' Camp for children with cancer and other chronic illnesses.

On Tuesday evening, July 23rd, Ștefan Pop-Coț, Vice President of the Romanian Society for Cultural Astronomy and astROmania, brought two mobile telescopes with him to the camp through the Mobile Astronomical Observatory initiative. This way, the children could observe and admire the celestial bodies that are above them every night but are almost invisible to the naked eye.

"I can start by saying that I'm glad I do this. For me, popularizing astronomy is a top priority. That's precisely why half of the activities I do, I do voluntarily. Regarding the Yuppi Camp, I just hope to bring joy to the children, for them to enjoy the telescope, and I hope to manage the emotional part well," Ștefan Pop-Coț told us.

Thank you very much, Ștefan, for your involvement and for offering us a glimpse into the fascinating world of astronomical observation!
