Impressions after the meetings with the doctors

Even though sometimes we can only talk for a few minutes, between consultations, emergencies, and patient visits, the doctors we collaborate with during the recruitment period are an enormous support in our work.

They recommend us to their patients, encourage parents to bring their children to camp or let them attend on their own, and often take the time to call us and tell us about the major changes they see in their young patients after camp.

"Many of the doctors I've met stood out for their kindness and willingness to help. I've met doctors who are so warm, so sweet. True role models to follow.

I haven't had the chance to meet many of them in person yet, but every single time they called, it was a pleasure to talk to them, and they helped us with contacts for their patients, they spoke with the families," says Talpă Alexandra, coordinator of the participant recruitment department.

Alexandra visited doctors in Cluj, at Pediatric Clinics 1, 2, and 3, and at the "Prof. Dr. Ion Chiricuță" Oncology Institute. In Târgu Mureș, she met with doctors from Pediatric Clinics 1 and 2; in Iași, with those from the "Sfânta Maria" Children's Emergency Clinical Hospital.

"Most of the doctors I met with or spoke to on the phone thanked us for what we do, but the truth is that without them, without their help and generosity, it would be much harder for us," Alexandra admits.
