Yuppi Camp activities at Pediatric Clinic III, Cluj-Napoca

"It's the first time she's smiled since we've been here. I'm so happy!"

These are the words of the mother of a 3-year-old girl hospitalized at Pediatric Clinic III, Cluj-Napoca Children's Emergency Clinical Hospital, where four Yuppi Camp volunteers led relaxing and fun activities last week.

The children hospitalized at Pediatrics Hospital III have both chronic or acute illnesses: Ana, a 9-year-old girl, has been living with juvenile arthritis since she was 1 year and 8 months old, and on the very day of the Yuppi Camp team's visit, she was in the hospital with her parents because she was about to receive a new treatment.

Together with the volunteers, Ana colored and skillfully made origami creations: a butterfly and a flower. For Carmen, who had pneumonia, the Yuppi Camp visit also brought a smile to her face through a few games and fun stories.

We thank all the children and parents who took part in the activities, as well as the wonderfully kind and friendly staff!

Yuppi Camp's hospital activities have been taking place regularly since 2024, both in Cluj and in Băile 1 Mai. We hope to reach as many children as possible in hospital wards, to make their day a little brighter, a little easier, a little calmer.
